DMX Lighting Control

Overview

iQ Pro’s DMX functionality is specifically tailored for touring artists, solo performers, groups, or bands. It is not intended to replace a full lighting desk. However, for those who own a few DMX lights and require consistent setups, iQ Pro enables programming of complex lighting plots that integrate seamlessly into your performances.

We have a system called Palettes that makes it really easy to get started with DMX within iQ Pro, palettes allow for positions and other changes to be made quickly at the venue without having to edit within the shows cues stack. We are committed to enhancing the DMX engine in iQ Pro and are excited about future developments.

These guides will explain the basics of how iQ Pro handles DMX, how to import and set up fixtures, and, importantly, how our palette system facilitates modular programming of lights. A basic knowledge of DMX is expected but is not essential, and there are many resources freely available to assist further.
