Adding Camera Cues in iQ Pro

Integrating camera cues into your iQ Pro shows is straightforward. Follow these steps to add dynamic visuals directly from your camera to any group within your show.

Step 1: Select Your Group

• Navigate: Choose the group where you want to include the camera cue. • Add Track: Click “Track” to see a list of available cue types. • Choose Camera Cue: From the list, select the “Camera Cue” option, then click the “Add New Cue” button at the bottom of the window.

Step 2: Configure Your Camera

• Name Your Camera: Assign a descriptive name to your camera, especially useful for shows with dynamic zooms or multiple camera angles. For example, “Close-Up Magic Camera.”

Step 3: Camera Settings Preview

• Zoom Level: Adjust the zoom level of the camera. You can also drag the red X to set a focal point for the zoom. • Layer Editor: Similar to other cues, adjust the scale, corner radius, and position of the camera layer. This feature is perfect for creating picture-in-picture effects.

Step 4: Camera Selection

• Device Camera Choice: Depending on your device, select between the front or rear-facing camera, and choose the lens type (e.g., ultra-wide). • External Camera: For devices like iPads with USB connections, you can select an external camera connected via a capture card or webcam.

*Step 5: Additional Camera Options

• Colour Filter: Toggle on to apply a colour filter, choosing from a grid spectrum, sliders, and various opacity settings. • Delay Settings: Set a delay before the camera cue starts to ensure perfect timing. • Layer Settings and Orientation: Adjust layer settings and camera orientation (landscape, portrait, left, right) as needed. • Cue Sequencing: Determine what happens when the cue starts and ends—options include doing nothing or automatically starting the next cue.
