Controlling Your Show with FLIC Remotes
Using FLIC remotes to control your iQ Pro show offers unparalleled flexibility. For comprehensive instructions on connecting FLIC remotes to the iQ Pro app, refer to the section “Adding FLICs to Your iQ Pro.”
Default Actions with FLIC
Once a FLIC remote is connected to your show, it will default to the following three actions:
• Single Click: Activates the next cue. • Double Click: Pauses the content currently playing. • Long Press: Exits the show.**
Customizing Your FLIC Controls
iQ Pro supports connecting up to 8 FLIC remotes, each with three customizable actions. To tailor these actions to suit your show’s needs, follow these steps:
- Access Show Settings: In the show you wish to customize, locate the cog icon in the top right-hand corner. This will take you to a screen with various configuration options, including button configuration.
- Configure FLIC Actions: You will see a list of connected FLIC remotes. Selecting a FLIC will display its three actions: Click, Double Click, and Hold. Adjacent to each action is a dropdown menu from which you can assign any of the following functions: • Next cue • Cue a specific group • Play/Pause • Stop show • No action
If you opt for the “Cue a specific group” action, you’ll be prompted to select the desired group from a dropdown menu, assigning that particular action to the FLIC button.
Dynamic Cue Assignment
The same customization process applies if you want to assign a dynamic cue, such as a camera zoom, to a FLIC. For example, by setting up dynamic zoom in and zoom out actions, you can assign these to FLIC button controls. This allows you to adjust the camera zoom with a simple button press, providing precise control without interrupting the flow of your show.
I’ve revised the articles for clarity, conciseness, and to correct the spelling of “cue.” Here are the cleaned-up versions:
