All Cues

Overview

Any show created with iQ Pro is made up out of a collection of cues, cues are the backbone of any show.

A cue can trigger any kind of media or change a light's color/position

Adding a New Cue

In iQ Pro, adding a new cue to any group follows a uniform and straightforward process. Whether you're looking to incorporate audio, video, images, or other elements into your show, the steps remain the same.

Navigate to your desired group, start by selecting the option to add a new track.

This will open a window titled New Cue, where you have two choices:

1. Search for Cue Type - If you know the specific type of cue you want to add, use the search function to find it quickly. 2. Select from Available Options - Alternatively, you can choose from the following types of cues: - Audio - Video - Image - 3-D Text - Slide - Camera - Zoom - Web - DMX

When you add any cue into iQ Pro there are a few generic settings you can program into that specific cue, these are:

Delay

[set the delay setting|top]

If you decide that you don't want to have a cue run at the same time you trigger it - whether it be via a remote like a Flic or via Apple Watch or even auto-started/auto-followed (see below) - then you can use the Delay setting to set how long iQ Pro should wait before firing the cue after being triggered

Cueing multiple tracks

[set autostart cue|bottom]

Say for example you have a video track that has no audio and you want to play a music track at the same time then you can use the When track starts setting and set it to Auto start next cue, this means when the video track starts it'll automatically start playing the next track simultaneously, make sure that following track is on a separate layer.

Trigger free cueing

[set autofollow cue|bottom]

If you get to the end of a track and you don't want to have to cue at the end of every track then you can use the When track ends setting, when set to Start next cue it'll automatically follow onto the next cue at the end of the track
